UV Bulbs & Quartz Sleeves

A UV clarifier is only as good as its bulb. UV lamps lose strength over time, even though they keep glowing, so replacing the bulb every 12 months keeps your water clear. Our UV bulbs and quartz sleeves range includes replacements for Pond One, Blagdon, Laguna and Philips units.

What's in the range

Pond One – PL UVC lamps in 7W, 9W and 13W for Claritec filters and Cleartec clarifiers.
Blagdon – UVC bulbs and quartz sleeves from 5W to 36W, including Inpond 5-in-1 bulbs.
Laguna – PressureFlo quartz sleeves and UV-C heads.
Philips – a replacement UV clarifier lamp.

Replacing your bulb

Spring is the best time to change the bulb, before algae season starts. Turn the power off first, and clean the quartz sleeve while you're there. A cloudy or scaled sleeve blocks UV light, so clean or replace it if it won't come clean. Handle new bulbs by the ends to keep the glass clean.

UV bulbs and sleeves are made for specific models and wattages, so check your clarifier's brand, model and wattage before you buy. Need a new clarifier? See our UV clarifiers.
