No power point near the pond? A solar pond pump or floating solar fountain runs on sunshine, so there are no cables to bury and nothing to add to your power bill. They're ideal for small ponds, frog ponds, bird baths and water features in sunny spots.

Our range

PondMAX PS solar pumps – the PS200, PS600, PS1700 and PS3500 come with a separate solar panel, so the pump can sit in the pond while the panel faces the sun. The PS10000 is a floating fountain with its own panel.

Getting the best from solar

Solar pumps run when the sun is on the panel, so flow drops on cloudy days and stops at night unless you add a battery. Place the panel in full, unshaded sun, and keep it clean. For larger PondMAX models, a battery backup box keeps the water moving after dark, and extension cables let you put the panel where the sun is best. You'll find these in pump accessories and solar panels.
