Sizing your pump

Match your filter: check your filter's recommended flow range and choose a pump that delivers it at your head height.
Allow for height and hose: every metre of lift and length of hose reduces the flow. Always read the flow chart, not just the maximum flow.
Waterfalls: wider waterfalls need more flow for a full sheet of water.
