Choosing the right size

Use hose that matches the outlet of your pump and the inlet of your filter. Going too small restricts flow, so many pond keepers use the largest size the fittings allow, especially for longer runs. Always match the clamp size to the hose size.

Fitting tips

Keep hose runs as short and straight as possible. Every metre and bend reduces flow.
Warm the end of the hose in hot water to make it easier to push onto a fitting.
Fit a clamp on every connection and check them each season.
