Aquarium Substrate

Give your aquatic plants the right foundation with our range of aquarium substrate for planted water bowls, patio ponds and container fish ponds.

Aquarium substrate provides a growing medium for submerged plants, helping anchor their roots while providing the conditions they need to establish and grow. It is particularly useful for aquarium-style bunch plants that are planted directly into the substrate rather than grown in traditional pond pots.

Choose a suitable planted-aquarium substrate when creating your underwater garden, and combine it with aquatic plants, rock and natural wood to create a layered and natural-looking water bowl or patio pond.
