Growing Moneywort

Moneywort is a low-growing creeper that loves moist conditions and is particularly well suited to the edges of ponds.

It prefers shallow water or consistently damp soil and can be allowed to spread naturally along the pond margin. When planted beside the water, its trailing stems will spill over the pond edge, creating a soft and natural transition between the garden and water.

Moneywort is an excellent plant for growing in a floating pond plant ring.

Position the ring in a partly shaded area of the pond and allow the creeping stems to trail naturally across the water. As the plant grows, it will create a soft, spreading feature on the surface.

Its low-growing habit makes it particularly effective in a ring, where the foliage and flowers can cascade around the edges.
