NutriHip® - a rich source of antioxidants for dogs and cats
The three natural ingredients in NutriHip®, seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum), turmeric and rosehip powder have antioxidant activity which protects cells and tissues from the damaging effect of free radicals. Turmeric and rosehip are well-known for its antioxidant activity, but Ascophyllum nodosum also contains a range of compounds that have antioxidant activity, including fucoxanthin (a carotenoid) and large molecular weight and simple phenolics.
NutriHip® - a rich source of key nutrients for dogs and cats
All tissues in the body undergo constant repair and require an adequate supply of key nutrients to synthesise their components. Both ingredients in NutriHip® are rich sources of key nutrients for all tissues of the body, particularly the joints. These ingredients include:
vitamins – particularly vitamin C from rosehip, and folate (vitamin B9) from seaweed
minerals - particularly calcium, iron and magnesium in seaweed
trace elements - particularly iodine, zinc, manganese and copper in seaweed
Anti-inflammatory activity
Turmeric and rosehip also have anti-inflammatory activity which can protect against inflammatory skin problems, as well as inflammatory diseases such as osteoarthritis.
