Growing Water Orchid

Water Orchid is best planted around the margins of your pond, where it can enjoy consistently moist conditions without being completely submerged.

It can tolerate shallow water to approximately 5cm deep, but prefers pond margins and boggy areas where its foliage can grow above the water line.

The plant develops from a small bulb and grows slowly, making it a good choice for adding long-term structure and interest to the pond without becoming overly vigorous.

When planting, give Water Orchid enough room to spread to approximately 30cm wide. Planting several together can create a particularly impressive display once they establish.
