The soil contains a combination of peat, sand, and fertiliser to ensure your newly potted plant grows and thrives quickly.
After repotting, a fine layer of gravel should be use to cover the soil and to prevent the mix washing out of the pot, the plant should be soaked prior to placing it into the pond to allow any air from the mix to escape. The kit also includes a floating ring so you can get your new plant at the right height until it roots into the soil. Using the floating ring with your pond plants allows the roots from the water plant to trail into the water allowing them to attract small micro particles and absorb nutrient from the water.
