About the plant:
Our chocolate water mint is a hardy edible water plant. It can be grown in full sun to part shade and features deep chocolate coloured stems with deep green foliage. Our chocolate water mint has lavender coloured flowers in summer.
Maintain the plant by harvesting the leaves, keeping water topped up and fertilise every month.
Regular picking of the leaves is recommended. They can be used for making peppermint tea, margaritas, used in cooking, and in quick and delicious salads such as tabbouleh.
Can be pruned to maintain size by removing larger leaves and trimming the roots back.
